His Rejected Roles Are Legendary

If you look back, it is quite surprising that Al Pacino became a star. After all, he refused to take a lot of great roles that made other actors into a worldwide superstar. Among his missed opportunities are many famous movies such as Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Kramer vs Kramer, Apocalypse Now, and Pretty Woman. His resignation meant the rise of actors such as Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss, Dustin Hoffman, Martin Sheen, and Richard Gere.

Pacino was born in the Bronx, New York. His father came from a small town in Sicily that should prove to be a milestone in his career. The young Alfred decided to become a baseball professional. Nothing came of it, so he switched to a career goal called Brando. That meant the greatest actor of his time, Marlon Brando. This man had significant importance in the career of the young Al Pacino and became his idol. He put up with setbacks and became one of the greatest character actors in the world. The mostly unknown actor got the role of Michael Corleone in the Francis Ford Coppola film adaptation of the famous novel The Godfather. There he played alongside with his idol Marlon Brando who took the role of Don Vito Corleone.

With Brando From Corleone

The Godfather has changed film history and is considered as one of the best movies of all time. According to the book, the character of Al Pacino comes from the village called Corleone that is situated in Sicily. The real father of Al Pacino was born and raised in the same village, so the actor has always said that was a sign. Pacino became a star who even surpassed his performance a few years later in the sequel to the classic movie. The great crew of three Italian-Americans such as Al Pacino, Francis Ford Coppola, and Robert DeNiro created a masterpiece that is still undefeated today. The former usher and card reader had become a superstar. From that time, Al Pacino played a vital role in the development of Hollywood films. But it should take exactly twenty years before he received the award he deserved. “After that, I felt like an athlete who had won Olympic gold for weeks,” he once said in an interview.

Al Pacino is still acting and proves everyone that his career is not over. He took a role in a new movie of Quentin Tarantino called “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” before he swung himself into another masterpiece of Martin Scorsese  “The Irishman” where Al Pacino has a role of Jimmy Hoffa. Most recently, Al Pacino ventured into the world of TV shows.
